Today I learned that I will officially be leaving my first area this Wednesday! Its been a great 5 months here in Parque San Martin, but I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for me!
I have been able to do a lot of personal reflection this past week contemplating the possibility of leaving Parque San Martin. It's going to be really hard but quite honestly, I am happy. I am happy with the progress I have seen in the area, the members, and myself. I feel that I have become a more capable missionary and that although I still have a lot of room to improve, I have seen large growth from where I started. I can leave Parque feeling like I´ve done well, leaving the area in a time of success, and having done my best. I am so grateful for all the time I have spent here in Parque. Now, I am super excited to see where the Lord sends me!
I couldn't have asked for a better parting gift from Parque San Martin, than baptizing our awesome investigator Emmanuel. It was a really special experience that resulted from a miracle. We met Emmanuel through a reference from a member. This member referred us to his Mom but in the end she didn't have too much interest and we only taught her once or twice. However, one day, while going by to look for her, we ran into him! He was standing outside their front gate and started asking us a bunch of questions and he even asked us if we could come back to share more! From then on we taught him almost 4 times a week and he just soaked up everything we taught him. It was seriously so awesome to have the privilege to have met him and help him enter the door to eternal life.
Thank you all for your love, prayers, and cards! I love receiving things in the mail from all of you back home! I hope all of you are having a great start to this new year! I love you all!
