It's been a challenging time for me here in Aldo Bonzi, but I know that it is trying times and challenges that help us learn and grow. It is amazing how short 10 weeks have felt! It seems as though the days feel like weeks and the weeks like days. The work has been slow but steady... The biggest blessing of all I have seen is in the baptism of Jose! Since I arrrived he (and his family) have been the light of our days and weeks. He and his family are super special people and I have come to love them as family.
Some fun news for those of you who might not have heard...... I am headed to a new mission!
My current mission, Buenos Aires Oeste (West Mission), is (due to the growth of missionary work in all of Argentina) losing 2 of its Zones to the Buenos Aires South mission being that they (Buenos Aires South Mission) is losing 66% of their mission to the newly created Buenos Aires East Mission! And I just happen to be serving in one of the Zones going to Buenos Aires South. I am super excited for this new opportunity and am looking forward to possibly serving with one of my best friends in the whole world, Elder Kevin McFarland! As of now, I have heard he and I are only separated by a 20 minute bus ride! However, we are still currently serving in different missions... Starting July 1st, I will wake up and be in a new mission! Super exciting!
Hope all is well with all of you friends and family back home! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
