I want to wish you all very happy (and very late) New Year!! :D
I have been thoroughly enjoying these past few days and weeks of this new year. Recently, I have been learning a lot about being humble and learning from everyone and everything. There are so many things to learn from every person and every situation we may find ourselves in. I have come to realize the truth in the saying: If a day passes by and you haven´t learned something new, you have wasted that day away. God gives us so many opportunities to learn and grow from the people and situations he puts before us and expects us to learn from each one of them. There is no one or no situation from which we cannot learn.
One thing I have been trying to improve on recently is the principle of diligence. As explained in Preach My Gospel (a missionary training manual): Diligence is steady, consistent, earnest, and energetic effort. Sometimes it is hard for me to remain steady and consistent with working habits that I know are the habits that lead to success, but it is helping me progress and become a better and stronger person. I know that if I can apply myself enough to aquire the attribute of diligence, school, work, and life in general will be much much easier!
These past few weeks have been a bit of a struggle for us, as we have been trying to change our work habits to better include the members in our finding and teaching. It has been rough, but I know it will be well worth it. In spite of these challenges we have still managed to find people to teach and have uplifting spiritual experiences.
As of today, I have been transferred to a new area and a new Zone! I am serving in the ward of Gonzalez Catan 3 in the Stake/Zone of Gonzalez Catan. I am really looking forward to working in this new area! Many great Elders have already worked this area before me and I am humbled to have the opportunity to step into their labors and work with all my heart, might, mind and strength.
I leave you all with my testiomony that I know that as we follow the impressions of the Spirit, we will be able to find, help, and uplift those in need. I know that our Heavenly Father is conscious of each and every one of His children and that He loves us infinitely. I know that He is always waiting with arms wide open to receive us when we come unto Him.
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
