Their plane landed in Atlanta, Georgia. And, they had a pretty lengthy lay over so we had the opportunity to have a wonderful conversation over the phone. It was fun hearing about all of his wonderful stories about being in the Missionary Training Center (MTC). He thanks everyone for their Dear Elder letters, Dear Elder cookies and the email messages. He feels your love and support. :) Thank you everyone!
He did mention that he found out that we can send him padded envelope packages through regular mail (USPS: United States Postal Service) but we are "not" to use special mail carriers like FedEx or UPS. And, as an extra tip, we can paste stickers of Jesus or the Virgin Mary on the packages too. The packages will less likely be opened.
As a Missionary Mom, I am sooooo excited for our son. As I write this post, it looks like Elder Pribyl is flying over Columbia now. The flight path will take him over Brazil, Bolivia and then into Argentina. The duration of this flight is 10 hours and 12 minutes long and he should be arriving in Buenos Aires, Argentina at 8:38am. So, as of right now, he has 5 hours and 36 minutes left on this flight. FYI, Argentina is 4 hours ahead of us. I hope the Missionaries were all able to catch up on some much needed sleep while traveling. :) The weather will be a bit rainy and cold when they arrive; however, it looks like the weather will be warming up the rest of the week. :) Argentina is finishing up with their Winter season with Spring on the way... :)
So, the next time I will receive an email update from Elder Pribyl will be next Monday. That's when we will find out what city he will be serving in and who his Missionary Companion will be. How exciting!!! Until then...
